What Is A Honeymoon Registry?

A Honeymoon Registry is simply an online gift registry where guests purchase a portion of your honeymoon, such as a picnic in the French Riviera or snorkeling at the Great Barrier Reef. Thousands of couples have already chosen a Honeymoon Registry because they've already assembled a house full of the traditional wedding gifts and want, instead, to make memories that will last a lifetime.

Why Would I Use After Our Day?

After Our Day provides you with a free way of raising money for your honeymoon. There are many online honeymoon registries, but After Our Day is the only one that is free and therefore allows you to keep all of the money that is donated to your trip.

One of the main benefits of After Our Day is that we currently provide Paypal as a payment option. Instead of having your guests donate to your registry, and then having to wait for a check to be delivered to your address before the wedding, you can manage all of the money you receive immediately because it never passes through us. You have full control!

How Does the Process Work?

The process for receiving money for your honeymoon is pretty straight-forward. Your guests will enter our site and search for your registry listing using you or your partner's last names. They will then be sent to your personalized list where they can pick items to buy for you as a gift similar to any other wedding registry. Your guests can then either elect to purchase the gift using their credit card or to reserve the gift and provide you with a check on your wedding day. If a guest purchases one of your items using their credit card, the money is immediately supplied to the account that you have specified when you set up your profile.

Why is it Free?

We are able to provide After Our Day as a free service because we are supported by advertisers. You may notice the ad links displayed on many of the pages on this site and on the lists. When visitors click on these ads, After Our Day receives a small fee from our advertisers. It is through this that we are able to pay all of our hosting and administrative costs. This means that you get to user our service for free! The only fees you pay are the fees that paypal charges on all money transfers.

How Can I Receive Money?

There are two different ways that you can receive money for your registry. When you sign up, you can elect to have your purchased registry items sent to an account that you specify through our sign up process or you can elect to have After Our Day hold all of your money until a date when you need the money. If you elect to have After Our Day hold your money, you can log in at any point and submit a payment request to us. A check for your money will be sent to you within 3-5 business days.

Why don't you currently accept Google Checkout?

After Our Day was originally designed around allowing our users to accept Google Checkout as a form of payment for the visitors of their registry. However, Google now has a policy that categorizes fund solicitation as an unacceptable product category and thus has notified us that they will no longer allow us to accept Google Checkout. You can read more about this policy here. Until Google decides that fund solicitation is not a prohibited product category, After Our Day will not be able to offer it as an option.

What Kinds of Things Can I Register For?

You can register for any type of cost that you foresee yourself incurring on your honeymoon. For example, you could regsiter for items such as miles of airfare, meals, tickets to a show, hotel rooms, etc...
